Tragus Piercing After 12 Days...?

Ive been cleaning twice a day with hot lightly salted water as advised by my piercer.

It still feels a bit bruised, feels itchy I still can't lay on it to sleep but it's not swollen or red and hasnt been weeping. Is this normal? I don't remember my navel annoying me like this haha!

Hey I got my tragus pierced about eight months ago however I did not clean it at all and mine healed up in like 2 weeks. I think that you should try to clean it for about a week longer and if things do not improve or if things get worse then you should defiantly go back to your piecer because you might have an infection and he/she should know what to do.

    Good luck.

Very normal :) you wont be able to sleep on it for a long while yet :') Takes 6-12 months to fully heal I've had some of my cartilage piercings arround 6 months and I still struggle to sleep on them... the itching means it's healing don't fiddle or remove them at all just stick to cleaning with sea salt and warm water twice a day :)

hey yeah this is normal it will be a bit sore if it isnt showing any signs of infection i.e swelling, redness, weeping puss not nice! as long as you keep cleaning it the pain will go ! if in doubt call the shop that pierced :).

yes that is normal don't worry :) everyone's different in the healing process but cartilage does take a long time to heal. And since you says there is no puss or swelling its not infected.

yes its normal. for me, the slight itching means its beginning to heal. so long as its not super swollen, or pussing that it should be fine. try to avoid sleeping on it or excessively irritating the area. it just needs time :)
