What are your thoughts on Chad Ochocincos open letter to his dad Commissioner Roger Goodell on the recent...?

turmoil surrounding the NFL. The letter is pasted below if you have not already read it.

Dear Dad,

I know it has been a rough week, so I wanted to reach out. Players dying, players suing and on top of that my peers are just going off on you in the media. It does not help that ESPN has all of a sudden become Medical TV with damn near every brain expert on the planet. This has got to be the worst week ever. Since no one is showing any support, I figured I would be the first. You are in one big *** catch 22 and quite frankly, I am not sure there is any solution. One thing I think can help is killing the NFL PR machine.

Y'all do a darn near perfect job at portraying this game as one played by heroes.

But let's be real dad. This is a nasty, dirty and violent game with consequences. Sign up or go get a regular job. Watch it or turn off the TV and go fishing with your kids. It is really that simple. I know there are probably legal and financial implications that prevent this blunt depiction, but am not sure if you have a choice. If you don't say it now, the mounting evidence being revealed publicly will say it for you very soon. In all, I love you and if anyone can lead us out of this mess, it will be you. Oh by the way, I have a deal for you. Am having a rebound year and plan to do a lot of celebrating in the end zone. Can my fine money go to supporting ex-players suffering?

Sincerely,

Chad

First off, I doubt that Ocho Psycho wrote this letter. Why? Because there were several three or four syllable words in it and we all know the boy isn't that intelligent.

As for the gist of the letter, I agree entirely. It's time for players and ex-players to STFU about brain damage they suffered as a result of playing the game. Nobody held a gun to their heads and forced them to play. They could have graduated from college and, as the letter states, gone to work at a "regular job".

But they didn't do that because they wanted the fame and big money the NFL offered. They knew the risks involved but that didn't stop them. Now they've blown their millions and want more money because they were concussed while playing the game? Boo-hoo, fock you. Ex-players are killing themselves because of head injuries suffered while playing? I suppose the weak or crazy ones are, but is that such a bad thing?

Goodell is ruining the game to appease a bunch of bleeding heart wienies. The bottom line is that there will always be players crazy or greedy enough to sacrifice their future health and play football. Don't water the game down because some crybabies are trying to extort money from the league. In other words, Goodell, take the same hard line with the parasites looking to score some easy money as you do with the players who make it possible for you to cash $16,000,000 in paychecks every year.

Cheesy that it became public like this

But, I agree with Chad to some extent. It's a burtal game and I do think that players have to assume some of the risk in playing the sport. Now, that doesn't mean that the league can't take steps to making the game safer for its playres but there is only so much the league can do before it beacomes the NTFL (national touch football league).

I have an idea, mandatory steriod, HGH, performance enhancing drug testing for everyone player multiple times per year at random. Get the performance enhancing drugs out of the game you will slow the game down a touch. That in itself will help in my opinion.

i think of that grew to become right into a authentic solid call on Commissioner Roger Goodell's a million/2 of pondering of postponing Plaxico Burress and not allowing Micheal Vick to play this season to boot

He isnt having a rebound year. He should stop writing letters and try to make sure he doesnt get cut from the roster, the Pats have about 8 able wideouts. I bet Goodell is still sniggering about that stupid hall of fame induction Ocho staged.

Source(s): Atleast he's calling himself Chad now.
