Leg Workout for Vertical Increase?

I'm training to increase my vertical right now. Can I lift one day and the next day do plyometrics? is this to much strain on my muscles? Does anyone have any suggested exercises that would really help besides squats?

    You can lift and the next day do plyometrics as long you are not working out the same muscle group. Your body does need 24-48 hrs to heal.
