Should euthanasia be legalised in the UK?

Revising for my RS exam and trying to get as many different opinions as possible so I can write about and compare different views. Please try and explain why you hold your view and say if your faith or lack of faith influences this opinion in any way! Thank you in Advance :)

    I don't have a faith.

It should not be legalised, there are too many people out there who think they want to die one minute and the next they don't. I'm aware that it relieves peoples pain but there is a lease of life in some people out there who feel like there is no way to come back. So it could prevent wasted lives.

euthanasia is and greek word meaning "good death"

I think that euthanasia should not be legal because I think that only God has the right to take a life away. On the other hand some may agree because It will relif the person from their pain and suffering and it Frees up medical funds to help other people
