Where should I travel to for my first time?
I was going to go to England but all my friends bailed. Then I was thinking about Australia until I realized how much it costs. So where should I go? I don't want to go somewhere to sit on beaches all day. I want to be doing something. And the cheaper the better. But I am more than willing to spend around $5000.

In Bali Island, aside from beach activities, you can actually do mountain trekking and visit some temples to take pictures and see exotic views and make your vacation more memorable. You can also learn surfing and scuba diving so you won't be just swimming and sun bathing by the beach. Check this website http://www.balivillaholidays.com/ and see some great choices of accommodation.

I suggest you going to The Netherlands. It is a tourist friendly country where people can speak English. There are many tours that you can organize that are also cheap. There are very nice views, museums, windmills, and boats or ships you can ride on to enjoy. It is also very easy to go to Belgium, France, or Germany by train.
Hope this helps!

East or west or everything in between.
How long and when are you going?
Check tourist bureaus to see what is going on where you decide to go.
Festivals for food, culture, music, or sport are on in places across the country.
And much, much more.
