Does anyone remember a website where you could build walking geometric shapes?

Years ago I remember playing with a website where you could build virtual geometric shapes/frames out of lines, and the lines were 'springs' which became longer and shorter corresponding to a sine wave at the bottom of the screen. If you built carefully, you could make little walking shapes, or Ferris wheels, various wire-frame animate objects. You could adjust the strength of each spring, and gravity too. Does anyone remember this site or know if it's still up?

Update:

Note: This was a java applet for testing out virtual constructions, and did not tell you how to make anything in real life.

I do remember a site like that, wasn't it one of the early sites that dealt with "physics of objects", that went on to spur the development of physics-based games? If I'm thinking of the same site, it was some years ago, but worked well and was quite fast for a Java applet.

I am sorry, I cannot remember the web address anymore, but it was quite interesting what you could build with it.

I hope someone with a better memory than me can help you properly...

    Have a look here:-

There is a lot of home-built stuff here, with a search facility at the top of the page.
