What can one wear with a very dark brown pair of casual pants?

Question

I have a pair of pants that are very casual and dark brown and super comfortable.  And they are pretty heavy type of material so I would wear them in winter or cold days.  

My question is what shoes do I wear with these pants - colour and style?

OOO I love those pants. I just bought a butt load of them recently. 

For brown pants, stick on the neutral and natural side- 


- Espadrilles
- Sleek leather sandals
- low converse 
- Tom's

Colour wise - cream, red, multicoloured tops in warm, earthy tones

Stylewise - loose knits and shirts
To mix it up a bit - something metallic gold - to contrast the casual

Whatever you do, DON'T WEAR BLACK WITH THEM! Black and brown do not go together! Some cream ugg boots would go perfect with them but if you don't have any then any cream or beige shoes would look fine :)
