More questions about switching to a raw plant based diet to help treat cancer?

So , I asked for info yesterday and got great answers that lead to more questions. My questions are this. What to do about specific meals like breakfast , is that a smoothie situation or are there more options. Also we looked at the new Ninja blender / juicer would that be a good choice to do the juicing and smoothies or is it a mistake to go that route . I am super new at this so please forgive the what may seem like dumb questions but for those who know cancer and chemo you understand that reading a long book may not really happen because of chemo brain issues and attention span. I would love to hear more from those who answered yesterday because it gave me so much info . I was in the right place for sure , thank you

Update:

For those answering who don't know about this like me, Watch a documentary called food matters. It is an eye opener about how vitamins and nutrients alone can help so much when dealing with not only Cancer but most chronic disease found in America today. It was amazing for me to watch. Now I am not saying I am going to abandon my treatment or anything crazy what I a am saying is that it seems to me that I can help myself so much just with vitamins and a change of eating habits. I am willing to do the work to even give me one extra day now it's just learning how to do it correctly so I am not hurting but helping myself.

First things first – Keep up the good fight! My wife has battled mets from cervical cancer for about 10 years and she just recently finished two rounds of chemo. Our saying is “Cancer is a mind f**k, and everything else is chickensh*t!” It’s about perspective and it seems that other cancer patients nod in acknowledgement, when others just don’t seem to understand.

First off, please be wary of anyone proclaiming a certian diet as a cancer cure. There are tons of books out there. But after reviewing many, it simply boils down to general good nutrition (getting all your vitamins, and essentialls, anti-oxidants, lots of greens, proper fats and proteins especially to heal your cells).

Juicer – Juicing is highly recommended for cancer patients. We have the upgraded Jack Lalane version (stainless) and it works very well. Bought at Target. There are others on the market more expensive, but they essentially have the same internal components. Ours is very easy to use and clean-up, which is critical when you are either a caretaker of the patient for timesaving.

Blender – For smoothies, after wearing out a variety of cheaper brands, we have stuck with the Kitchen aid version. Large, very powerfull and much easier to clean (same as above). Again Target. I presume the Ninja brand version is good as well, but we have never tried one. Smoothies are especially desired right now because at times, she feels that she is literally burning up and the smoothies give tremendous relief.

As far as raw vs. cooked veggies remember that with properly steamed vegetable more of the nutrients are put into soluble form to be more efficiently used and digested. We always have a raw veg tray, but my wife was instructed by her regular doctor and oncologist that steamed vegetables are better, especially as her system is healing. But to be honest, whatever works appetite wise is the way to go. Sometimes, she can literally taste the chemo on her tongue and in this case she may want something crunchier in which case the raw veggies and fruits is more to her liking. The next day may be different and all she wants is steamed vegetables. My advise is to simply go with your appetite at the time. The key is the balance and making sure you keep the nutrients coming in.

Cancer is essentially mutation of cells. Not sure how a raw vegetation diet will help with this cellular mutation. Vitamins and nutrients are very important and raw diets break down much differently in the body. I would do extensive research first on this extreme diet. Extreme diets can be hard on a healthy person and even harder on someone with a compromised immune system.

That grow to be very exciting. I had an excellent form of hardship as quickly as I switched my canines to uncooked. no longer with the canines yet with the vets. One has exceeded on yet he had many wellbeing themes after being fed kibble maximum of his existence and that i'm decrease than no impact that the kibble killed him basically that some canines fall ill no count number what you feed them. I even have fed Asuka my 2 12 months previous German Shepherd uncooked maximum of her existence. I have been given looks and nasty comments from my previous vet so as quickly as I went to the recent vet I delivered a bag packed with literature and asked for the main well liked vet interior the situation. I nevertheless do no longer think of they like it yet they have been extremely joyful to make certain that i grow to be doing my study. the female I many times handle seems to be a lot greater effectual approximately it than maximum the only ingredient reported grow to be to decrease the quantity of styles of meat she ate. no longer that she could no longer consume form yet do no longer feed her a minimum of one or 2 low-value materials of meat. She reported that even uncooked fed canines can strengthen hypersensitive reactions to their significant protein source. I desire that I had a vet who grow to have an interest by the uncooked nutrition habitual yet for now i will basically stay with person who will artwork with me. thank you for sharing.
