do smart phones need anti virus download?

can you get viruses from apps or just browsing the web?

My phone seems to be slow today. do you have to do a clean up thing like on computers?

any info will be appreciated! phone is running android, LG optimus

    Viruses come thru calls,smsand web browsing.and also phones are affected by malware which effects the perfomance of our phone.so it is necessary to have a antivirus.you can get it from google play store.there are many,like kaspersky,quick heal,norton,netqin,avast,etc.kaspersky is best from my point of view.

    Kaspersky mobile security is good.
