Is my nose ring to small and causing swolling?
My nose ring is a stud with a flat backening on the inside of my nose. I had my nose pierced on may 5th and everything was ok up until this week. I clean it twice a day with the saline solution they gave me and sea salt soaks ( i alternate between the two). Well my skin has surroundened the piercing (almost like the nose ring is sinking into my nose. I don't know what to d. I also have a bump on the inside of the piercing in front of the flat piece. Could this bump be making my piercing smaller. I know its to soon to change the piercing because i've only had it for 1 week and 4 days. What should i do, because i just want to give up and take it out but i still love it. Thanks for your help and no negative comments please.

Sounds like whatever jewelry that was put in is too short for the swelling. It has a flat back on the stud? That sounds like a labret stud that normally doesn't go into a nose piercing. I'd seek out a better piercer and have them look at it and decide what is best.
Saline often has chemical additives in it, I'd stick to just doing the sea salt soaks twice a day, take ibuprofen throughout the day as the bottle advises for the swelling, and make sure you get the piercing looked at asap.
Don't know what the third answer is about. If it was infected she'd have excessive redness, hot to the touch, and yellow/green pus that usually has an odor to it. And if it was infected, she definitely would not want to take it out...never take out an infected piercing, that can trap the infection. And creams should never touch a piercing.

What you're experiencing is a slight inflammation. It's a natural part of the healing process. I would recommend taking an anti-inflammatory to combat the swelling and make wearing the jewelry more comfortable while the piercing heals.

Sounds like you have an infection. Perhaps uv been tpuching it alot and u may also be a sensitive skin type. Get a doctor or piercers Advice but ur best bet is take it out before it gets worse let it heal and re do itwith extra caution and make sure u avoid touching it with unsterile hands etc.
Goodluck :) hope u find some disinfectant cure cream
