Ok. MacBook air is small and light. Which is good for travel and using for small projects. But because it is small it lacks in the specs. The MacBook pro is more expensive but is faster, bigger hard drive, and longer battery. If you want a computer for work and projects, and if money isn't an issue get a MacBook pro.

If you really want a mac, I suggest getting the pro. The air sucks. Just look at the review. People like it because of the design and not it's actual specs. Get the macbook pro. Trust me on this one.

If you're a uni student and already have a computer at home which you store all your files on, go for an air. Use your air as a easy take around laptop and keep your one at home as the "base"... You can always get a portable harddrive if memory is an issue here.

If you're looking for a laptop which will be your sole one, go for the pro as the air only has 64-128GB of memory.
