Which is better: Online Program or Community College?

So I am looking to start back going to school and I feel like I've been wasting my time with searching for full online programs, being that they are full of crap and the courses they provide seem crappy as well. I just want to know if anyone has received an associate's or bachelors from a full online program and has been satisfied with the results? I am currently looking to study Information Technology with a concentration in Security. So I am looking for Technology students to respond. Thanks! =)

You are wise to question the value of any online program, although on occasion they do have their uses.

Thomas Edison State College has some legitimate programs that are worth considering.

Western Governors U also is legitimate.

NCSU has some great graduate programs.

However, the least expensive path is to major in IT at the local community college, then finish a BS degree at the closest state 4-year school that offers IT. You can focus on security aspects at all levels.
