Tattoo artists opinion...?
Alrighty, so I already have a tattoo of The Joker from The Killing Joke (Batman Comic)
This is the tattoo

So, I guess what I'm trying to figure out is if I could incorporate a quote into it, or if I will have to make the quote a separate entity on it's own. The quote is "So why can't you see the funny side? Why aren't you laughing?" I do plan on talking to my tattoo artist, but until then I'm just looking for some feedback on opinions of what to do with the quote!
Thanks for your time!
Yea, I agree it's more than likely way too wordy to be put with the tattoo, but I definitely need the full quote if I'm going to get it, it reminds me that even in the worst of times, something good will come of it, so I just have to keep that smile pinned on my face!
Also, the only reason I wanted it with the tat is because the quote and image are from the same book!
AND, thank you for the compliment on the work, I agree my artist did an awesome job!

you COULD incorporate it at the bottom
say, on what looks like a burnt (or flaming) piece of parchment (but keeping the colouring you already have)
but to be honest, i wouldnt
its a great piece, its nicely done, and the quote is a LOT
if you really want it, i would have the "So why can't you see the funny side" and leave the rest,
its a huge amount of words to have done under that

I am not a tattoo artist, but I thought I would give you an opinion, I saw your tattoo quite a while ago on another question, its amazingly done.
How about incorporating the quote on the bottom left hand side, curving round with the curve of that part of the tattoo!
