Will I be able to work...?

Will I be able to get a work permit? We have to turn a request in for a work permit for school if we want to work. My friend said that her mom's friend has an opportunity for me to be a part-time "princess". :)

I am 15 (well in 4 days), but my problem is that I'm not a US citizen- I have a green card (permanent resident) Btw: Do I have a social security number?

Thanksss! :) :) :)

You don't need an immigration work permit if you already have your green card. however, certain local laws require that adolescents of 15 years of age register for a local employment permit in the courthouse. If that's what you need to do, then yes, the people at the courthouse who will issue the local permit will ask to see your green card and social security card. if you have a green card, you should, without exception, have a social security card, or at least you should know what your social security number is. ask your parents.
