    What is your name and where did you grow up? Name you don't need. Grew up in Michigan and Tennessee.

    Were you drafted (if applicable) or why did you enlist in the armed service? Volunteer; Reason- Looking for adventure (certainly not the pay which was $78/month before taxes)

    Why did you choose the branch of service you joined? U S Marine Corps- the hardest, toughest, and the best.

    Tell me about your boot camp/training experiences. 13 Weeks of non-stop harrassment, training resulting in being annointed a United States Marine.

    Did you serve during wartime? Yes - Vietnam and during Granda, Panama, 1st Iraq War

    What was your job/assignment? Enlisted: Aviation Supply Officer: Aviator

    Tell me about your memorable experiences. Too many, every day over 27 years was memorable. Loved it all including the bad and the good. Marines are equal misery.

    Were you awarded any medals or citations? Yes, 13, some multiple awards for same medal. How did you get them? Some for "being there" and some were individual awards for doing special things above and beyond the call of duty.

    How did you stay in touch with your family? Letters

    What did you think of your fellow soldiers or officers? All Marines were professional and experts at what they were trained to do.

    Did you make any close relationships while in the service? Yes. Do you continue any of those relationships? Yes - once a Marine, Always a Marine

    What did you do/ what do you do as a career after your time in the service? 27years as a Marine. 17 more years as a contractor for the Pentagon.

    How did your service affect your life? Postively.

    Are you happy to be finished with your service? Not really. Best family a man or woman can have.

    Do you have any regrets about your time in the service? Not a one!
