I need some serious motivation for my studies, any ideas?
Ok, this is the first time I have studied since school (about 15 years). I thought that after a bit I will eventually get into it but oh no, it's just not happening.
Granted there is a lot of stress in my life with my dad being seriously ill and some other stuff, but I don't want that to be a reason/excuse. It's distance learning too so no teachers looming over my shoulder lol.
Do you have any tips for me on how to get motivated and perhaps some study tips too, thanks :-)

well i can relate to this cause im supposed to be studying alot and i just can't get a hang of learning everything, theres so much to do!
Right first try and create a revision timetable..
this will split up the different subjects you have to study and will help you have a set scheme to studying. Heres a good website to help you create one; http://getrevising.co.uk/timetable
then just follow that timetable up until your exams and you should be fine! :)
also if you're doing a subject such as science then get revision books from local book stores cause they can be really helpful to break big pieces of information down into easily readable facts thats easy to understand,
if you cant find these then just create your own notes by bullet pointing things, or creating mindmaps with loads of different colours to help highlight the key facts. pin them up on your wall or something and then you won't forget them
just think that you've only got a short time before the exams and if you don't pass your screwed haha, thats my motivation :P

Well when I start to procrastinate, I remind myself that my future is bleak if I don't get the right grades. xD Always gets me working every time.
