How do I load more songs on my iPod Nano if it's synced with another computer?

Hi, I have had an iPod Nano for about three years. When I got it, I put it on my old computer and put about 300 songs on it. That computer broke recently, so I plugged it into my current computer. Whenever I do, I get a pop-up from iTunes that says, "This iPod is currently synced with another library" or computer "Would you like to erase and sync with a new library?" I want to put more songs on my iPod, but if I click yes on that pop-up, it will completely erase all the songs I have now and put whatever is on my current computer onto it. There is no music on my current computer, so there would be nothing on it. I don't want to put all 300 songs back onto my iPod in addition to any new ones, but I want to put more songs on it. Is there a way to put new music on there without erasing what I have on there now? Thanks!

You don't need to sync to put music on an ipod. Many people don't seem to understand that - they don't understand how iPods work so they pin what they know on words like "sync".

What I've done is to refuse sync, then set iTunes to manually manage your iPods music and video. I've done things that way and that's how I can connect the same iPod at home or work.

In the future you should copy your music library to disc or flshdrive. There's no reason that you shouldn't try and save your music. Songs are just data files and blank CDR spares can be found everywhere.
