Does employer have to pay for training?
I started a new job and the shifts were called "training shifts", even though the job I was doing required very little training and was basically just cheap labour.
I ended up hating the job so I told them after my first two shifts that I wasn't going to be able to stay on.
My question is.. Is the employer legally obligated to pay me for my training shifts even though I quit?

Yes they have to pay you for the shifts in which you was required to show up for job in question if you are documented to have been there. if they didn't take I guess you could call it attendance then I don't know how you could prove it,
they can just pay you less.

Legally - NO
the biggest offender i've heard of is Dunkin Donuts..they can make you work a week or more and pay you ZERO..and call it "training"
