Would you rather name your child after a family member, fictional character, or celebrity?
I would LOVE to name my child after a fictional character. It would mean so much to me, and my kid would have a personal connection with that amazing character. The name wud have a lot of history and meaning to it(:

I plan to give each of my children at least one family name because I like to honour family members through names. :) I would likely just use a family name as a middle name and give the child his or her own first name so that there's no "identity issue." Since I have a family name for my first and middle (and so does my sister) I think it's really sweet to honour people this way, so I want to do the same for my children. :)
However, I have toyed with the idea of naming a kid Nathan, Vincent, Tidus, Kate, Zelda, Garnet, or Yuna after Final Fantasy and Castle characters, haha!
I also love the name Adele, after Adele.
If I could only pick one, I would of course name my child after a family member. But no matter what I did, I likely would only use family names as middle names.
Hope this helped. :)

Family member or fictional character. I will probably have my child's middle name be a family name, but I would love to name my child after a character. I agree with your statement on why :)

Definetly not a celebrity...they name their kids strange, strange things (like apple, sunday, blue ivy :/ eek!)
Finctional character's have more unique names, but it would be kind of weird to be named after one...seems like a family member would have more meaning
the best idea to me is just name your kid whatever your favorite name is whether its a fictional character or not, but thats just me haha

I would never ever name my child after a celebrity. They aren't anything special to me. I might use a name like Ryan...cause i like it, but not after Ryan Gosling. (even if he is the hottest guy in the world) You know what i mean?
I love the names Primrose and Renesmee but I wouldnt use either because i would have to listen to people b*tch all my life about how i "copied" them out of the books the hunger games and breaking dawn. or...even if people didnt complain...people would just be constantly asking or assuming i used those because of the books. annoying, so not worth it in my opinion.
As for using a family name, yes i would. But ... only if i was close with the family member. Say my baby's father wanted to name the our baby after his uncle and i didn't like his uncle..i wouldnt allow it. If it was after my father or his mother and i was close with either parent..then maybe. It also depends on if i like the name.

Well celebrity names are very common in children like Justin. Usually fictional characters have rare names so go with fictional honey
