my whirlpool ultimate care 2 electric dryer won't start at all.?

does anyone reading this know how to fix a dryer, or have any ideas on what might be the problem? We have an electric dryer that has worked fine until a couple days ago. a few days ago it just stopped working. The light won't come on, the drum doesn't turn, it doesn't make any sounds, it just won't start. The fuse in the breaker box didn't trip, the thermal fuse on the dryer has continuity, the wall socket still has power, so does the cord running inside the dryer. There are no burnt spots suggesting that the wiring burnt up anywhere. I'm completely stumped! I can't afford a repair man and CERTAINLY can't afford another dryer.

The model # is LEQ8000JQ4

if the dryer thinks the door is open the light should be on but it's possible the light burned out from being on too long. beyond that it will take a technician to troubleshoot it or at the very least a handyman that understands electricity. HK

The most likely cause is the door switch. Although if the dryer thinks the door is open the light should be on but it's possible the light burned out from being on too long. beyond that it will take a technician to troubleshoot it or at the very least a handyman that understands electricity.
