1. Solve the system of equations using the elimination method: Please show work.

1) x + 2y + z = 0

2) 3x + 2y - z = 4

3) -x + 2y + 3z = - 4

    Standard form: x+2y+z=0; 3x+2y-z=4; -x+2y+3z=-4;

    substitute/eliminate x = -2y-1z-0

    substitute/eliminate y = -1z-1

    dependent system - infinitely many solutions.

    x=+z+2; y=-z-1;
