No you're not genius. You have somehow gotten your information wrong. No one and I mean no one has an amplifier that draws 480 amps. At least no one who doesn't already know what they are dealing with.

More than likely you are confused it has a potential output wattage of 480 watts no way will a car amplifier ever use 480 amps! Even double ott power wire cant handle that many amps.

Look at the fuses on the amp its self use an inline fuse that is what that fuse or fuses equal. Say it has 2 30 amp fuses you need to install a 60 amp inline fuse holder, if it only has one you need a 30 amp inline fuse.

A standard car battery and automotive electrical system cant handle a 480 amp draw no way!

Even with three 0 gauge wires DC's largest amp should never draw more than 375 amps otherwise you overheat the wire and could start a fire. 0 gauge wire should only run 125amps max other wise it could melt the insulation and start a fire.
