Doesn’t it annoy you when you hear teens asking things like ‘’Am I pregnant’’ on Yahoo?

Sometimes on Yahoo when I answer questions on the teen and preteen section a lot of teens are always asking ‘’Am I pregnant’’ or ‘’do you think I’m pregnant’’. This annoys me so much like why don’t you just use protection. I’m not saying you shouldn’t have sex although I think that you shouldn’t have sex until you are 16 yrs old and before you do it, you are ready and you should first properly learn about sex education like all the diseases you can get and all the different types of protection to use. While you are having sex and if you don’t use a condom then teen girls is it hard to get up the next day go out and buy yourself some pills.

Teens please try an be careful when having sex, make sure u use protection. Trust me u wouldn’t want a baby so young, they take up so much time, money and energy, 90% of the time they are hard work and 10% they are fun. U will have to give up so much and u wont be able to go out have fun, be free and careless. You have to have a lot of responsibility if you have a child and u woud hav to give up a lot as well as sleep, trust me I know.

I hate hearing teens getting pregnant and people accidently having kids or having sex when their really young, I mean haven’t you learned anything in school. You shouldn’t have a child until you are ready and you have a education and a career, money saved in the bank, a home and proper husband or partner who will be there for you and stand by you and your child. I know some teenagers are able to cope and in the end have a wonderful career and life and I’m happy for them and it’s great but for most it isn’t like that.

So teens USE PROTECTION.

P.S I’m not trying to be rude or horrible or anything and can someone give good proper answers and not something stupid and horrible.

    Firstly I want to respond to things pie <3 has said that are completely wrong!!!

    ""But 80% of time protection such as, condoms, don't work."" -- incorrect ! Protection is nearly 90% + effective, yes they can break but that is from misuse

    "" And for teens younger than 18, the pill isn't always and easy thing to get. You have to be an adult buy the day after pill."" -- incorrect ! You don't have to be 18 you can go to a chemist or walk in clinic and buy over the counter, it's confidential so noone else has to know

    ""but please before you start trying to give teens helpful advice, learn some facts"" -- seems you don't know your facts!

    ~~~
    To answer your question yes I think it's awful that teens get themselves into these situations. When you read questions like "I had oral sex can I be pregnant" or "we had clothes on can I be pregnant" it really makes me sad that these KIDS don't have a clue. Yes it's good to ask for help and advice but if you don't understand things then you shouldn't be doing it !!!
    It IS annoying but I really don't care.
    It's annoying because yes, they should know how to use protection, you can buy condoms from Wal-Mart, a gas station, a drug store at ANY age. They come with directions, I believe.
    Birth control from Planned Parenthood is based off income, I don't think there is an age either and a friend told me that some childrens hospital our state gives FREE birth control pill packs out.
    This stuff is easily and readily available to people if they want it.
    And what is more annoying is, this is Yahoo!Answers, we are not EPT or any other pregnancy test, I don't care when your cycle started and ended, what day you had sex, I STILL can't tell a person for sure based off that information, if someone thinks they are pregnant they NEED to take a test not ask on the internet.
    You're absolutely right, teens should be smarter when they're having sex. But 80% of time protection such as, condoms, don't work. Condoms can break, that is possible. And for teens younger than 18, the pill isn't always and easy thing to get. You have to be an adult buy the day after pill. Most teens don't want to walk up to their parents and say "Hey mom and dad, I had unprotected sex last night want to go get the pill for me?" I know if I did that my mom would have a heart attack right after I said I had unprotected sex. You're right they should be smarter, but please before you start trying to give teens helpful advice, learn some facts.
    @Lizzy: I know my facts. Where I live, at least, you have to be 18 years old or older to buy the day after pill. If you're younger, you have to have an adult with you. So please, don't criticize other's answers. If you disagree just thumbs them down and answer with what you think is right. Because I know I'm right. And don't try to argue with me, I know my facts.
    I agree with what you say but what annoys me is the ones that say i cant be pregnant with precum because he pulled out - did they not get biology at school. Mums will be embarrassed and angry if their daughter tells them they had unprotected sex but mum can sort out the morning after pill rather than the child leave it too late and end up another single mum with no education or prospects for their future but no matter what we say these teenagers will still have unprotected sex and hope for the best they never get pregnant, Good Luck
  • It's worse when they post their age. "AM I PREGNANT?!? I'M 12!!!!". The description is worse, along with the swarm of massive answers. I think that...
    50% They're trolls. Always check the date the asker joined Y!A. If it's near or is the current date, a guarenteed troll indeed.
    49% They are promiscuous, but want to be pregnant.
    1% They really are pregnant.
    I don't think it's that annoying because I mean if they're being serious they probably really want to know.
    Y!A isn't a pregnancy test though, so I think if they need to know they need to take a test, not ask us.
    Most of them are trolls though.
    I completely agree. If you don't know how to yourself sexually you definitely shouldn't be having sex. And anyone else that's asking it is just seeking attention. It's a real pain in the ***.
    i agree with most things you have said.
    i dont agree with morning after pills, to me that IS by all means abortion. it is ending a life that is only beginning, ending something that will lead to life is abortion nomatter how far on after conception. abortion is completely irresponsible in my eyes unless you are raped.
    all children should be taught about sexual education and diseases, and be offered the contraceptive implant/or a pill to suit them.
    there are too many children having children and this is such a big problem in society! it angers me that half the children on this cant spell 'pregnancy test' and they are allowed to bring children into the world. its a disgrace and the babys do not deserve this kind of unsettled life. from years 0-3, they are the most important in a young childs life and most people arent bothered or cant provide all a childs needs.
    i personally dont want children until i have my career that i want, im financially stable, have a lovely home, a car, and a husband to support me. every child needs this and it just seems like anybody can have kids except for the people who truely want them the most.
    this world is messed up.
    Some are just looking for attention. Some secretly want to be pregnant.
