Does aligning your door knocking knuckles help?
My coach says If I align my door knocking knuckles while batting Ill get quicker bat speed. I prefer the box grip. (Doorknocking with punching) I've noticed most good batters do the box grip, ex; Ted Williams, Cal Ripken Jr, A-Rod and Mickey Mantle.
Look at the bottom of this link and youll see which batters do what, I do it like the 3rd picture on the top of this link http://www.efastball.com/hitting/how-to-grip-the-b...

In my experience, yes it does help. when you swing, your bottom-hand's palm should face down and your top-hand's palm should face up, and the two hands in general should be practically parallel to each other. However, I am a firm believer in doing whatever feels most comfortable, so I suggest you do that, but while also giving this method a try because it is useful.
P.S - the reason so many of those baseball players use the box grip is because they were taught in an older generation of baseball. back then, that's how the players were taught, but since then that grip is being outdated.
