Using bacon in chocolate truffle recipe?

I thought about crumbling some bacon and folding it with, say, maple flavoured fondant and rolling and dipping it in dark chocolate.

I've never tried anything like this with bacon before. Would it go bad? Would it need to be refrigerated? Would I have to candy the bacon first? Any idea about shelf life?

Thanks.

I would say skip the fondant for this recipe. Where I live this town is big on chocolate bacon. I have never tried it something about chocolate and bacon don't seem appealing, but I need to try it though =)

Back to your question. I would go with candying the bacon.

Use this recipe, but without the white chocolate drizzle if you wish. Crumble it after you make the chocolate bacon and is set before crumbling to use in your truffle. I know it will be more tedious, but it will be perfect!

Small sandwiches. Make some tuna salad (mash the tuna nice instead of leaving it in super chunks), get some undeniable pimento cheese from the deli, get some herbed cream cheese. attempt to locate the skinny bread and unfold one merchandise on each and each sandwich. decrease off the crusts, then decrease into 4 products. some squares, some triangles. in case you like to get fancy, spear something else with a toothpick on suitable of each and every person. Small piece of cheese, a small little bit of green onion, 0.5 a cherry tomato, and so on. And, for the uninitiated, a women' occasion could be one devoid of adult males (like a toddler bathe) and that i could plan for finger nutrition that may not stain your large outfits. (i could individually stay remote from the BBQ - dripping weenies.)
