Do you absolutly have to take "Effexor"? I know a lot of people that take Celexa or Zoloft instead(talk to your doctor).

I'm asking you this because I had the same problem, then I started reading on Eff. and to be honest I really spooked me out. Did you know Effexor in the medical world is nicknamed InEffexor or SideEffexor? I had to come off Effexor for that exact reason, I was going crazy. I *slowly* came off and I'm on my 3rd week Effexor free. My erectile functions came back right away but to this day I still have small libido problem but I feel it coming back slowly.

Note: Before I came off tho I found that weight training and cardio workout helped with libido(dopamine related). You could try working out a bit instead of doing anything drastic. Depends how you feel.

Personally I could afford coming off the meds now, but talk to your doctor about all this. DONT EVER stop effexor cold turkey or without consulting you GP. It could mess with you more then you expect.

VERY IMPORTANT: If you remember anything about what I wrote remember this: When or if you stop Effexor, for any reason, one day or another: Take some Benadryl (diphenhydramine) to get rid of the side effects. I cant emphasise enough on this! It takes all the "Yuck, I'm about to puke!" feeling out. ***Even when you miss you daily Effexor for any reason. Take one Benadryl, and you'll be back on your feet in no time. Its friggen miraculous!! Benadryl or home brand allergy medicine(also Diphenhydramine) or over the counter sleep aids which are ALSO Diphenhydramines. They sell it as sleep aids because of the drowsyness it causes, I was shocked! lol..
