Itching anus please help?

For the last 2 days I've had a bit of a problem with my anus itching.. It's inflamed a little bit on the right side as well. Not bleeding, and no worm evidence.. I tried anti itch cream, didn't work, and then I found later that i shouldn't have according to research. I've looked all over online and haven't really found a whole lot of matching symptoms other then warts or fungus.. I'm embarrassed to go to the doctor, and I'd rather try any suggested at home remedies.. Thanks for any help.. No immature answers please..

My first thought was worms - but you said you don't think its that.

My second thought was - maybe you had a little cut or graze, and now its healing and causing an itch (like when you get a cut anywhere on your body - it tends to itch when its healing) Get a mirror and have a look, see if you can see a little cut or graze.

Don't be embarrassed to see your doctor - they see SO many bums every day - its their job.

It sounds like a hemmoroid. It really isn't sometime to be too embarrassed about; I'm pretty sure everyone experiences some degree of one. For relief I would try soothing suppositories. They vasoconstrict the blood vessels and shrink the hemmoroid and feel unbelievely cooling. Pick the one with phenylephrine.

They are available over the counter at your local walmart. I was so embarrassed to buy them, but they really did help me. They are only meant to be used for a week. So if this problem continues, you need to see a doctor.

    Best of luck!

You should not be embarrased to go to the doctor. They will not judge you. They are there to help. You need to recieve a proper diagnosis of what you might and get treatment. Good luck.

Maybe it's hemorrhoids, try sitting in a warm bath.
