You are completely right. U summed up all the incidents correctly. He misused it to a certain extent. Bcz of his many in field out field controversies Shane Warne unable to be a role model to kids unlike all the other great players like Sachin, Bradman and Murali.

He has become nothing but a laughing stock! Even the Aussies at times making fun of him and laughing at his antics.

What Shane Warne does in his personal life is really none of yours, mine or anyone elses business. Warne has made a few wrong decisions in his life, just like practically every person in the world has including the player you worship who has been had tax evasion charges, ball tampering charges and got caught lying under oath in court which are all illegal. None of those things your hero would be proud of doing, just the same as Shane Warne would not be proud of some of the choices like taking the banned tablet his mother gave him. That choice had fools like many on here doubt his performances despite the fact he had played more than a decade without having been caught with a banned drug in his system and in those years having a better record than most have in the history of cricket.

Really apart from the name Shane Warne, what has this question got to do with cricket? Just using a players name does not mean it is cricket related.

Edit: In reply to your extra questions directed at me, the answer is simple. Shane Warne was a cricketer and the only place in a newspaper that one would read any story about Shane Warne would be if it was in the sports section or the front page of the paper.

Sachin Tendulkar's charges for Tax Evasion were mentioned in the sports section of the newspapers. Does that mean that talking about Sachin Tendulkar's inability to submit a correct tax return is related to how he bats on a cricket field? Why else would it be mentioned in the sports section when taxes relate to finance rather than cricket?

Shane Warne was stood down from the vice captaincy because a person in the position of vice captain is meant to set a good example both on an off the field. He set plenty of good examples on the field, but his off field antics that were displayed in the media were not always what one would want out of the vice captain of the number one cricket side in the world.
