does anyone else hate it when people say i've lost my virginity?

I mean, it's not like they dropped it. They chose to give it up. I don't know, it just sounds silly and stupid to me.

    "lost" can mean different things. Like "I've lost all hope". It just means they don't have it any more. Would you prefer it if they said "I can no longer claim ownership of my virginity" ?
