Does Obama go on vacation more than Bush did?

He hasn't so much lately, I WOULD say his advisors told him to cut back but in all honesty to my knowledge Michelle still travels a lot, but the demands of the office are more than he thought they were! He SERIOUSLY thought Bush spent his days playing poker and occasionally sneaking out to steal from the common man whenever his pot got low! I want to know why Gitmo is still open! Since after all it was only needed because "Bush lied"!

No. All presidents are on call 24/7, so they are never really on vacation. First families pay for their own vacations with their own money. We, the taxpayers, pay for the Secret Service where ever the first family is.. Home or abroad..

Bush set an all-time record for most vacation days in any one-year period. After taking off the entire month of August 2001, he presided over the worst security failure in American history. Your opinion aside, these are the facts.

Bush probably spent more time away from the White House than Obama, but he usually went to his ranch in Texas and still worked. Between lavish vacations and time out for fund raisers Obama has not exactly been overworked and the results show.

Bush spent more time on vacation than any president in our history. Actually he broke Reagan's record. Obama hasn't spent nearly as much time as Bush did on vacation. Not 'trashing' Bush here, just telling the truth.

Bush spent one third of his presidency on vacation.......

And he took one right after 9/11 ..... Really? When his citizens needing him, he needed some me time.

And I don't bash Bush for that, I bash him

Because he was a terrible president.

What libs call "vacation" was Bush spending lots of time on his ranch still taking care of his presidential duties. I don't recall Bush spending lots of time on the beach surfing like Obama.

No one goes on vacation as much as Bush. He spent a THIRD of his Presidency on Vacation. Including while New Orleans drowned from Katrina.

Sorta......let me explain.

Obama goes on more ---real--- vacations than Bush (or any other President in History really) but Bush went on more vacations if you count working vacations at his ranch in Crawford as a "vacation".

One thing that cannot be disputed though....Obama's vacations have been far more expensive in just 3+ years than all the "vacations" Bush took in his 8 years in office.

I contend Obama takes more time off. Whenever I look at his itinerary online his day usually starts at 10:30am and the man barely has anything scheduled.
