Several years ago, I read the book Kiln (Kil'n) People by David Brin. Last night I watched Surrogates...?

... A Bruce Willis film from 2009?

Am I watching an adaption of the book?

No, Surrogates is based on a five-issue comic book series, The Surrogates (2005-2006), written by Robert Venditti and drawn by Brett Weldele. In 2009, it was followed by a prequel graphic novel, The Surrogates: Flesh and Bone. The comics were adapted for the movie by American screenwriters John Brancato and Michael Ferris

  • No, Kil'n People has no connection to Surrogates that I am aware of. Surrogates is pretty much based on an overused concept in science fiction writing. The Marvel universe has surrogate humans, and plenty of books have had almost exactly the same idea. If I remember, Surrogates is based on a comic book of the same name.
