downloading video - Graboid & codecs needed, why?
if i want to download any video off the net i use a 'video down-loader' i just go to the site where you can watch it and click on my video down-loader, but recently i have had a window come up to download 'Graboid' what is this, why do i need this just to watch the video, and is it wise to download this 'Graboid'
also i have noticed that sometimes a widow will pop up saying i need a codec/plugin to play the video and to download it, i am a bit suspicious of this, as i believe i have most if not all relevant codecs to play video
any advice or information on this will be appreciated, thanks.

am i right in thinking that 'Graboid' is an independent entity, and not actually associated with the site that has the video on, if this is so why don't the 'video site' block it, or am i wrong here, and Graboid is part of the video hosting site.

I do use 'download helper' but sometimes when i click on 'play' a message comes up saying 'you need a plugin/codec to play the video' or the download box for 'Graboid' pops up, not all the time but often enough.

Caution: Don't use Graboid Video, it is a conduit of Reel.com which is a scam. This is why: When you download Graboid, you are given driven by a free trial and they will demand the details of your credit card and once the trial expires, they will start deducting from your credit card every month without your authority. When you contact them thru the phone numbers they provide, it will be answered in the US, and you will be tranfered to the Bahamas where again you will charged a hefty overseas call in your phone bill. Try seeing it at this link how unwary people complain about Reel.com and see for yourself.

Download videos,I suggest you use a secure program, such as Avant browser, video download helper of fireofx, IDM, real player...
