An electric Uke/guitar acoustic to electric clip on device?

I have an acoustic ukulele, and want to make it electric. I heard that they have clips that clip onto the inside of the Uke to make it electric. Does anyone know what this is called or where i can find one??

There are different types of pickups available. For guitars you can get a soundhole pickup that goes in the soundhole and has a lead wire coming out, but that wouldn't work on your uke. They do make clip on transducer pickups that would work for both types of instruments, but they honestly are not the best sounding pickups for guitars. I've always liked the sound of the bridge mounted acoustic guitar pickups like the LR Baggs IBeam, but again, won't work on the uke.

If you want one that will work and transfer from one instrument to another you're pretty limited to the clip on transducer pickups. Something like this:

My wife has one for her guitar. Just ask for an acoustic guitar pickup. They will know what you are asking for.

Any music store that sells guitars will carry them.
