Is it okay to go from a 12 cell battery to a 9 cell one?
I need to replace my laptop's battery. The only ones I see are 9 cell but my original battery says it's 12-cell. Will a 9-cell still work on my laptop?
The voltage is the same, 10.8V
And yes, I'm just buying a cheap one. I know it won't last very long but I just need one soon because I'm going away from home for a while.

yes, it will work well, if the voltage is the same, and the battery code is right, it can work well. but the standby time will reduce. if you want to buy a battery, i can suggest you two websites that professional sell good compatible battery
