Asus Internal Dvd Writer Or Lite-On Internal Dvd Writer?

Question

i have used lite on,sony,samsung and hp dvd writer.my last dvd writer lasted 2 yrs.which is from hp and the main problem i faced was the dvd tray not coming out properly.now i am planning to buy a new internal dvd writer.i have read many revies and i am pretty confused with asus and lite-on.which brand to buy?i have also heard of plextor dvd writer but its not available in india and dont refer me to websites like amazon or ebay.i just need an answer-Asus Or Lite-on?

I will recommend ASUS. If you get with any brand more than two years of life in Indian conditions, dust, high temperature and humidity - you are luckey.

Bottom line a DVD drive is a DVD drive. That being said I like Lite-On Drives. Have 2. A DVD and Blu-Ray. See the first 2 links below. The third link is for a Blu-Ray without LightScribe and I think it is a good deal. Comes with software you need to burn and play Blu-Rays. Thing with the software is it does not support 5.1 sound. At least the supplied software that came with mine does not. Yet when I play a Blu-Ray movie sound does come out of all my Logitech X-530 5.1 speakers. I really just bought it to burn Blu-Ray discs for another form of backing up personal files. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

I've used both brands and none of them have given me any problems. Either one will do just fine.

PS: I have LiteOn right now. It's already 2 years old and still doing great.

all of them do the comparable element. high quality is all basically the comparable as properly. merely stay removed from no call producers. while i seek for DVD writers, i circulate with the main inexpensive one oftentimes. all of them are just about the comparable, and could choose for as low as $20.
