Is George Ford the next great England fly half?

The star of the Junior World Cup and IRB Young Player Of The Year, George Ford, who has just turned 19, will start tomorrow in the final of the Aviva Premiership for Leicester.

Supposedly it's only a matter of time before he plays for England and watching him he does seem like quite a special talent.

So how do you reckon he'll rate against the current crop of international flyhalfs? He'll be playing directly opposite Nick Evans tomorrow which will be an interesting gauge of his talent.

Let's give the lad half a chance. Age 19 is awfully young to have the burden of "the next great England fly half." Ford seems a very talented player, but he needs to earn the accolade (and move himself ahead of Farrell, who is barely older than Ford, at that).

Evans is a wily old hand, and recently named the Premiership Player of the Year. I personally think he is, and has been for years, New Zealand's second best fly half. How either he or Ford plays will depend not only on their own skills, but also on how their packs play. It is very difficult for even the greatest fly half to excel if he is on the back foot.

But I certainly wish George Ford well. I;d love to see England develop a truly exciting attack.

i think of if England weren't taking part in Australia in 6 months time, then Moores could be long gone very quickly, yet sacking Moores now could desire to flow away the team unsettled and would not be a robust build as much as The Ashes. whilst Moores is going (after The Ashes) the guy who will are available in, would be a Pietersen guy. step forward Graham Ford, who has important experince guidance (he's been guidance sixteen years) he has labored with precise gamers and has been in a position to create a robust team spirit, and importantly he has a astounding checklist at kinfolk and international point. additionally Pietersen has widely used Ford considering the fact that he strengthen right into a youthful guy. Infact KP nonetheless telephones Ford for advice whilst neccessary, they appear like close buddies. Ford could desire to take England far. I fee Tom Moody notably, he took Sri Lanka to new heights, and he merits to be guidance in international Cricket. He seems to love the massive undertaking, and the england interest could desire to be his new challenge. Moody additionally performed international cricket for some years (which Moores by no skill did) so he's familiar with maximum circumstances interior out. he's unquestionably widely used, all over the cricketing international, so he might get on the spot know. i've got not got faith he could be paticularly confusing to get, because of the fact being the england coach is the main important and superb interest in international cricket, and maximum youthful coaches might bounce on the possibility to be the coach. Ashley Giles could be a adverse decision, he hasn't have been given sufficient credientials to tutor a international part. He has been guidance Warwickshire for a pair of three hundred and sixty 5 days. There are greater matured coaches accessible who can do a greater beneficial interest. Giles could be like Steve McClaren strengthen into for the england soccer team, too matey with the gamers. Andy Flower is the batting coach (and on the grounds that England can by no skill get to 4 hundred in attempt cricket) he's doing a bad interest at that, so why might he do from now on beneficial as coach. If Bob Woolmer strengthen into nonetheless alive, he might have coached England as a replace of Moores, and that i'm enormously optimistic Woolmer might have finished a much greater beneficial interest than Moores
