Cleaning a firepot effectively?
I bought a firepot at the mall once and I enjoy it so much. The thing is that to make it work, I need to put fire gel in it and then light it. After using it so many times. The metal cylinder that holds the fire gel is now covered in black ash that is hard to remove. How do I clean the metal cylinder and make it shiny again.

This seems strange, but it works. Use denture cleaning tablets. I have used "Efferdent" to clean my stainless steel coffee thermos. With no scrubbing it made it look like new. Not exactly the same as your problem but its worth a try. Good luck. P.S. Grandma might give you a couple so you don't have to buy a whole box just to see if it works.
