What do you think of the name Chastity?

It's a nice name. But people don't always tend to follow their names.

Ever hear the real life story about the guy who named one of his sons "Winner" and his other son "Loser"? The one named Winner had all kinds of problems in life and his life was a disaster. The one named Loser got a normal job (cop, if memory serves) and led a normal life, had friends and was well liked at his job and was generally a total success in life.

I'd be afraid that if I named my daughter Chastity she'd end up being a slut or whore (some people automatically do the opposite of what they're told or the opposite of however they're labeled).

I hope this makes sense.

Chastity Name

Yes I like the name Chastity.

Horrible and trashy. Sounds like a great name for a stripper or porn star. Why would you want to name your daughter after a chastity belt? Do you even know what a chastity belt is? Obviously not if you want to saddle your poor name with a moniker like Chastity.

When I hear the name Chastity, I think someone will be, or already is, a slut or a stripper. If you give someone a name like that, they usually end up being the opposite of it.

Look up the definition of Chastity and then decide if YOU would like to carry that burden around for your entire life.

Horrendous...I can't even imagine the teasing. The so-called-honor names are awful, unless you plan to live like a Puritan, I would;t recommend it. One of the worst names out there, seriously.

I really like it! Especially if her middle name is Rose. Chastity Rose I really like that name.
