When do the scabs from tonsillectomy fall off?

I am a 19 year old male that had a tonsillectomy on May 24th. Today is the 27th and I took a shower before and near the end I spit on the floor and noticed blood... It continued to bleed for another 10 minutes or so but has stopped and since then the pain became unbearable at first then I took my codeine and I feel better than I have since I have gotten the surgery. I was spitting into a bottle and it looks as if there were chunks of scabs possibly? I am not totally sure but the bleeding has stopped and I was wondering if that was the scab falling off and is it too early for that to be happening and is that bad?

Im not a doctor or anything but im pretty sure spitting blood isnt good! If i were you i would go back to the place where you got it done and ask them! Bring the bottle with you and show them aswell!! Good luck! :)
