Is there any way to clean latex paint from brushes and rollers?

So far, I have only used straight water. Is there a chemical that does a good job? Latex simply seem to ruin rollers and brushes making them a one use item. Stripper is for oil based paints.

You only need water to wash water-based latex paints. However, you need to wash the brushes and rollers immediately after use. If you are waiting and allowing the paint to set, you are simply wasting materials.

My my my...your just like me. I can never seem to get around to immediately cleaning the latex paint off of my Fathers, Grandfathers and Great Grandfathers Professional and expensive paint brushes. You think I would even risk doing that if I didn't know I had something that would remove the dried paint? I think not.

You just need to soak them in some "Sav-a-Brush" for about ten minutes. It completely removes all dried paint whether latex or oil, from brushes, rollers, and clothes. The bristles come out like new and it leaves absolutely no damage or stains behind.

This is a very old product and won't find it sold in stores anymore so you have to buy it directly from Red Devil Paints. It costs about $3 a box, shipping cost included but the least they can put on a charge card is $10. You can phone them or e-mail them @ Red Devil Inc.com or 1 800 423 3845 Ext.3036 That is their customer service desk.

Most people just don't know this product or what it can do. I found it by accident in my Dad's box of painting tools.

While the paint is wet, water will do fine. Once ANY paint is dry on the brushes/rollers, you need to REPLACE them. Even if you get the paint off, the bristles will NEVER be the same.

Wash them when the paint is still wet. Put them under a util;ity sink faucet if you have one and squeegee the paint out of the rollers & brushes. You don't need anything else.

if you are not done painting the project you are working on, put the roller or brush in a air tight sack and close the sack.It will still be ready to use tommorrow.

If its all dried, the brushes and rollers are trash....

If not, the only thing other than water you should use is some elbow grease. That seems to be in short supply nowadays.
