What do car dealerships mean?
What do car dealerships mean when they have a starting price and as shown price? I've always bought used cars which ******* suck *** these days.

Starting price is the cheapest possible way to get the year/model of the car(without any accessories). As shown price is what the actual car you're seeing picture/video of would cost, b/c it usually is more than the base model. (But it will usually have the as shown price in the fine print, cause they are legally obligated to put that, but are hoping to minimize it so that you won't catch it even tho it's there.)

"Shown" price also includes dealer installed options. Anything the dealer adds or does to the car will be an additional charge. Look over the dealer installed charges as some have been a little overpriced. ie.: A local dealership was asking $1450 for a set of door edge protectors. Which list for $5 in the catalog.
