Umm -mate, you ARE dealing with Filipino officials. Unless you wave a minimum P1000 note under the nose of the fat. lazy, incompetent fool in the uniform in front of you, don't expect anything more than the lazy, couldn't give a damn response you are getting. 2 years ago in Lapu Lapu City I ran screaming into a Police Station to report 2 men beating a small boy senseless in the street. No one was helping, and a large crowd just stood by and watched. I yelled and yelled at the cops for help to come. After a few minutes of me pleading, one, only one, fat slob and I could see he was not interested , well he finally dragged his useless butt up and casually strolled outside with me to where this little boy had been beaten so badly he later that night died. I have posted that story here before in regard to public apathy--- but to your point--after seeing first hand the utter uselessness of local law there reporting anything like that unless you have the slaver in handcuffs with a written and signed confession and the victim with you to back it all up along with 20 witnesses all you will get is a look that says, Im not interested --go away. Philippines Police in MY experience__??Useless.

A Little More Info. might help BUT....considering you are where you are you probably won't have much luck and you probably can't trust anyone....

If I were you I would contact my Embassy, (not sure if yours is Canadian or American)......anyway both have people that you can report to...for example:

If you are Canadian and the person is Canadian who is involved, you can file a complaint and the Embassy will act on it......

If the People are Locals then your best bet would be go higher up than you would normally need to in your own country....even you may have to go right to the Congress Person....or IF YOU ARE SURE....contact one of the News Papers or NATIONAL TV....they both are real good at getting peoples attention.

You do understand that depending on what exactly you are talking about YOU MAY HAVE TO MOVE IN A HURRY......

Things move very slowly here. If you are complaining about a Filipino then chances are it will never be investigated. Maybe if you go to the Barangay Captain you might gt some help but still doubtful.

for an same reason that vast oil doesn't care that they pollute the ambience . . . or tobacco businesses do not care that they are addicting and killing human beings . . . because at the same time as there's a earnings to be made there is often some jerk (or crew of jerks) prepared to throw all ethics out of the window.
