Is it me or has yahoo chat gone downhill?
It used to be fun, going into rooms and chatting about different world topics. But now you are either surrounded by porn bots, racists or people who gang up on you for offering another opinion. If you try local chat rooms, they are full of porn, where can one go to chat to friendly people who might like a debate, without getting nasty and silly?

I wish I knew where there were some decent chat programs! I like one to one chat options. I have Yahoo, Window Live Messenger, ICQ, Skype and Aim on my computer and they are all useless, only any good for chatting to people you already know. I used to be a fan of ICQ because of the random chat option, but no chat programs seem to use that any more. With random chat you could meet people from anywhere, if they were just after cybersex etc there was always the delete and block option ( after reporting them for abuse!). Aim, lets people add you and if the person who has added you isn't sharing their friends list you don't know who they are, which feels a bit like being stalked because you cannot block them and it feels like you are being watched but you don't know who it is who is watching you.
