What happens to minority citizens who are unable to provide proof they are citizens.?
Current voting laws are anti-minority in that minority citizens(elderly) who can not prove their citizenship are denied to right to vote.
Money is not a factor for getting ID folks. One needs to provide proof that they are a citizen via birth certificate. There is a 93 old woman in SC or NC who can not vote because her birth certificate is missing.

I do not think this is true. If everyone in her family is an illegal than it is not too likely she was the lone citizen,LOL. O.k. tell us some more facts about her situation . You have NOT given enough info for anyone to know what is going on .
Guess the state didn't think she could give enough info either. In what way is she a minority?
50 ,000 people could not have lost their birth certificates and are unable to get a legal one.
So ...too much missing from your story.

That woman can get a birth certificate, if she was born in NC or SC sh e can definitely get a birth certificate. Shes either full of cr@p or someone doesn't know what they're talking about.

Their are other ways to prove citizenship besides birth certificates. What has minority got to do with it. All races must prove they are citizens. You sound like a racist, trying to provoke an argument.

She should be able to get a birth certificate from the state. If she misplaced it all she has to do is reapply and then pay what ever fee.

My mother's birth certificate was destroyed in a fire in the county where she was born. She was able to get another to replace the destroyed one.
In Texas, it is imperative that you can prove your citizenry. If not, I fear half of Mexico would empty into our state. This is why it is so very important to be able to prove you are a natural citizen here. If not, you are sent back to your home of origin. Free trip, free food and more of our tax dollars.

All she has to do, is to apply to the embassy of the country she was born in. Then she gets a new birth certificate. Easy. I've done it, she can do it.

I don't think I'd be allowed to vote in a Mexican election without proof of Mexican citizenship. That's the way it should be.
