The new format isn't as user friendly as the old format and I really don't like the changes at all! Do you have any ideas how I might let Yahoo know my opinion? I don't expect they'll care, but I'd like to have my say anyway.

I hung a dozen small birdhouses, but I got them out a little late and the wrens had already made nests in the bushes around the porch. The birdhouses are all different and very nice looking, so I thought I'd just leave them out and hope the wrens would move in next spring. Now, I find that all of the houses are occupied by wasps. Any ideas will be welcome!

Different regions and different cultures do different things.

We have ham, cooked cabbage (because it resembles money), black-eyed peas (to symbolize abundance), fried potatoes (just because we like them), and cornbread. There will be a clean shiny dime cooked in the cabbage. Whoever gets the dime will have good luck all year; it's guaranteed!

Then, the adults play poker while the older kids keep an eye on the younger ones.. The poker also brings good luck -- to at least one person. I still have the bagful of money I won last year.

Indiana is expected to get 7 - 10 inches of snow before tomorrow evening. I really wanted a white Christmas but I didn't expect quite so much white.
