When you know who's reporting you, what should you do?

I accidentally learned who's been reporting my questions and answers. It's someone I always give thumbs up, someone I have liked, and who has now started reporting me in another category as well as SC. I kind of want to call the reporter out and ask "Why?" What would you do?

Update:

Since there's a possibility that the reporter is not who I think it is, I've decided to do nothing. I was told by another SC, and then by someone in another category, that this person had told them about reporting me. But, for all I know both those people are one person with two accounts. Anyway, I just got reported again.

Hide your info. I'd ignore it I guess. I don't think it'll change anything to confront them. They just have problems. I don't know, if I knew who was reporting me I might feel differently, so follow your instinct.

I answered a question yesterday asking for examples of mealy mouthed talking. They reported it. lol

In order to protect yourself and work within yahoo's community guidelines, you should contact yahoo first. Anything you do which increases their chances to report you yet again, that they will do. Don't mess with them. Try and get yahoo to sort it out for you.

Statistically, just one year ago, there were some 40 regular seniors, all of whom have left the forum, presumably because they were driven away by continuous targeting and harassment.Last month another 24 left. Not many old-timers left here now, who had been here since at least 2006.

Evidently, the key issue and main problem seems to be within the definition 'chatting.' That tends to be hazy sometimes and it is the choice item that questions get reported over.

Blocking the account does not work as the user can always create a new one that can continue reporting. You should reprot that account to Y!A, appeal and reason with them, if indeed your questions and answers have not violated guidelines. It helps if more than one of you are reporting and complaining about the same user.

The only way someone could know this is if they were Staff.

Even if someone told you they were doing this,,you still could not be sure.

accidentlly?--how about an additional comment to this part of the question?

I seriously question your statement that you found out. I don't think you know unless the reporter told you themselves.

I have had questions and answers reported which were not violations of anything. I haven't a clue who did it.

You have your questions and answers showing so anyone can easily follow you to whatever category you have been. Don't make it so easy for them & hide your info for awhile. Resume if you want later on when they get off your tail.

Definitely put a block on that person. Now I'm always on my maximum allowed blocks. Some just creep me out.

I don't think there is anything you can do. Several people have tried to fight back and never were able to change anything. Many of us stopped using Y/A for this very reason.
