Who here remembers the old TV show "Topper?"?

It was a favorite of my dad's and mine, but I was so young I barely remember it. I know some of the characters -- including the dog -- were ghosts. Can you tell me anything more about the show?

I loved it as a kid. I think the best parts were when the ghosts made Topper do something weird and he had to come up with an explanation. For example, they made him suddenly do a somersault and he nonchalantly said, "Oh, uh, rubber soles. Very springy"

I have even tried downloading a couple of episodes.

i became right into a senior in severe college as quickly as I have been given addicted to it. I keep in mind Quentin and Daphne possessing Amy Jennings and David Collins. great storyline! It became into based on the e book, "turn of the Screw". Come to think of of it, various the storylines have been in keeping with classic gothic novels. It became into unique yet campy yet I enjoyed ghost memories and mysteries so it became into up my alley in an attempt to chat! There hasn't been an unique cleansing soap provided that. enjoyed it! As for the ending, i think of the final storyline became right into a handle Withering Heights.... everyone performed an distinctive character. The storyline did no longer fare nicely with the followers. They had to reveal screen Jonathan Frid play Barnabas, no longer the character he performed interior the final storyline. won't be able of keep in mind the call of the character on the 2nd. i had to work out what took place between Barnabas and Dr. Hoffman while they back to the modern-day from 1897. The storyline wasn't wrapped up like it would have been, imo.... wish TVLand might run the instruct from start to end like Sci Fi channel did. They play different previous television shows.....why no longer DS? DS became into on ABC from 1966 to 1971. Then it became into bought to syndication. thank you. Rose. Bramwell became into the character Frid performed. i became into questioning with reference to the DS action picture with Johnny Depp and if it would see fruition.

It was my favorite, too! I think I was eleven or twelve. You can find some of the show on DVD today. And of course there are the original b&w movies, or further back the Thorn (or Thornton)Smith (I think) novels.

Yes, I watched it a lot. I liked Leo G. Carroll who played Cosmo Topper, and the St. Bernard dog who drank brandy. They were all veteran actors. Anne Jeffres and Robert Sterling were married in real life. I think the dog's name was Neal. Lee Patrick was Topper's wife. He worked in a bank and she was a housewife.
