What Class should I take next year ( highschool Junior) ?
Hi, i did really bad in 10th grade and now ive decided to pull my sit together and work really hard junior year. I have to get a 3.8 gpa next year unweighted so that my gpa can average out to a 3.5 gpa. however im stuck between the classes i should take.
Should I take AP Enviro next year as the only AP class i qualify for? Also If I take AP Envrio next year, then that will be the only science I take as a junior and will take physics senior year or over the summer.
or
Should I take academic Physics next year with Honors engineering Technology?
(btw- these are the only two combinations of classes I can take)
Which one should I take and why? also, If i take option 2, will it look bad to college's that I didn't take any AP classes as a Junior and only took a few senior year?? or will AP enviro look better

First of all let me say this- If you did badly your sop, year and now you are getting your life together I think that is great...
Ap classes are good.. However you have to understand that they are more work are more challenging. I am not sure what you didnt do well in your sop, year but that is something to consider as well. AKA- If you didn't do well in Biology you shouldnt take AP Biology as an example.
Physics isnt the easiest class- I should know I took alot of Physics, chem and all of those kinds of classes.
Another thing to consider- What are you planning on doing when you get to college and what do you plan to focus on that is going to be one of the most important things for you right now. If you are not going into a Envir- science field... Don't bother taking that class.. If you are planning on being on wall street you should be taking econ classes to work toward that goal.
Don't let people in HS fool you.. Focusing your life in a certain direction of things you enjoy and things that you would ACTUALLY use in your field of study are more important then taking classes that are not important to you.
ONE final thing- During the summer if you work try to find a job that you can use for extra credit work or something that you can use to your advantage to your career field. ..
