At what rank or years of service do you qualify to move off base? USMC?

Enlsting for the Marines soon, MOS will be supply administration, I know I'll have to do the 6 months of MOS school and all that and after a year of duty station somewhere but after that do you get to leave base and rent an apartment or something? A place somewhere of your choice?

Depending on commands decision, most it's E-5. But it could also be job depending, so even an E-4 could (doubtful, but could) get it.

As a single Marine you'll be living in the barracks until you're at least an E-5, but it depends on local command policy and how full the barracks are!

    Depends on local command policy...

In most places it will be at least E-6 or above...and then only if adequate on post housing is not avaialble...

You have to be at a rank high enough to be able to afford to live off base.
