do regular people get tattoos?

In my opinion it's kinda trashy cuz in most jobs if you have visible tattoos they won't hire you. I even know some girls my age (I'm 14) who already have them. Sad generation we live in.

I am a regular person. I got my first tattoo at 51 (1 year ago), I am married, two children and own a successful business. I am fairly well known in our community.

My daughter and most of her friends are tattooed and pierced...they may not be regular but they are far from being trash.

Frankly, I can't think of one person that I know that is pierced and or tattooed that is what you might think is trash...but then again I don't know your definition.

Trashy people get trashy tattoos. Everyone else either gets great tattoos full of meaning and symbolism, or they don't get tattoos at all.

Personally - I am a mother, a wife, run a business, am an internationally sought after photojournalist, qualified to teach music, theater, photography and literature, AND I am completeing post-graduate psychology... And I have tattoos on every part of my body except face, ears and butt. All of them can be hidden when I need to be professional, which is the key.

Same with my husband. He is a professional tattoo artist, but also a musician, tutors music, and is currently finishing post-graduate philosophy, and he is almost completely covered in tattoos - again, almost all of his are coverable when needed.

My sister in law is a psychiatrist, and she has the most beautiful sleeve I have ever seen.

It is naiive of people to assume that only trashy people get tattoos, when the majority of us aren't - and we spend a lot of time and effort thinking about our tattoos, using deeply meaningful things to base them on, and go to amazing artists to make sure we have the most beautiful possible tattoo/s. It's just that the idiots make themselves known and give us a bad reputation.

Yes! Lots of people get tattoos. There is no such thing as "regular people". Everyone is regular!

Trashy people usually get junk ink. Respectable people that have an eye for style get classy ink. You can tell the difference from 25 yards.

Yes, i mean dont do your whole body but one or two wont hurt, i have 2, just get something meaningful not a bobwire or a chinese symbol....
